On a rain night in Gotham City, at the Gotham Toy Store, Paddington Bear was speaking to a group of kids
Alright, picture this: It’s a dark and stormy night in Gotham City. Rain’s coming down in sheets, reflecting the neon glow of the city in the slick streets. But inside the Gotham Toy Store, it’s warm and bright. A group of kids, wide-eyed and captivated, are gathered around a very special guest: Paddington Bear. He’s standing on a small platform, his duffel coat neatly buttoned, and he’s holding a marmalade sandwich in one paw.
“Now, as I was saying,” Paddington begins, his voice clear and polite even amidst the cacophony of a toy store, “the most important thing to remember when facing a particularly sticky situation is to always keep a marmalade sandwich handy. You never know when it might come in useful.”
The kids giggle, their attention completely fixed on the bear from darkest Peru. A little girl in a Batman t-shirt raises her hand. “Mr. Bear,” she asks, “did a marmalade sandwich ever help you catch a bad guy?”
Paddington pauses, considering this. “Well,” he says thoughtfully, “I wouldn’t say ‘catch,’ exactly. But there was that one time in London when a rather unpleasant fellow was trying to snatch Mrs. Bird’s handbag…”
But then a masked man walks into the toy store, pulls out a revolver and opens fire, Paddington is hit twice in the chest, the masked man leaves as kids are screaming, the toy store owner calls 911
The story takes a dark turn.
Paddington pauses mid-sentence, his brow furrowing under his little black hat. The cheerful atmosphere of the toy store is shattered by the screech of the door being flung open. A figure in a dark mask bursts in, brandishing a revolver. The air crackles with a sudden, terrifying energy.
Before anyone can react, the masked man opens fire. Two shots ring out, deafening in the enclosed space. Paddington, caught in the line of fire, clutches at his chest, a look of shock and confusion on his furry face. Two dark stains bloom on his duffel coat.
The toy store erupts in chaos. Children scream, scrambling for cover. Toys are knocked from shelves, adding to the pandemonium. The masked man, seemingly unfazed by the carnage, turns and disappears back into the rain-soaked night as quickly as he appeared.
The owner of the toy store, his face pale with terror, fumbles for his phone and dials 911, his voice trembling as he reports the horrific scene. Paddington slumps to the floor, marmalade sandwich falling from his paw. The bright, colorful toys seem to mock the sudden, brutal violence.
Comm. Gordan and police arrive at the scene, Gotham EMS soon arrives, they quickly put Paddington on the backboard and rush him to the Gotham Medical Center, he soon dies in the ER, Gordan soon suspects The Joker was the culpert and calls for Batman and Robin
The wail of sirens pierces the stormy night as Commissioner Gordon and a team of Gotham City police officers arrive at the toy store. The flashing red and blue lights paint the scene in an even more surreal and disturbing glow. Gotham EMS arrives moments later, paramedics rushing inside with stretchers and medical equipment.
They find Paddington lying still amidst the scattered toys, his usually bright eyes now closed. Working quickly, they carefully place him on a backboard, securing him for transport. The urgency in their movements is palpable as they rush him out of the store and into the waiting ambulance, speeding towards Gotham Medical Center.
Despite their best efforts, Paddington succumbs to his injuries in the emergency room. The news of his death hangs heavy in the air, a stark contrast to the whimsical nature of the toy store where he spent his final moments.
Commissioner Gordon, his face grim and weathered, surveys the scene. The chaos, the fear, the senseless violence… it all points to one suspect. A chilling thought crosses his mind: The Joker.
Without hesitation, Gordon activates the Bat-Signal, its beam cutting through the stormy sky. Gotham needs its protectors. He puts out a call for Batman and Robin, hoping they can bring the perpetrator of this heinous crime to justice.
The next morning, The Magic School Bus was outside the Gotham Bakery as Miss Frizzle’s class was in there making a cake for her birthday while she went to Gotham NAPA Auto Parts for parts to repair the bus, The masked man soon enters the bakery and soon shots are fired, the store owner and 5 of the students are wounded in a robbery, Batman and Robin hear the shots from down the street and soon drive off
The rain has stopped, but a pall hangs over Gotham. The next morning dawns gray and heavy, mirroring the mood of the city. The Magic School Bus, usually a beacon of cheerful yellow, sits parked outside the Gotham Bakery. Inside, Miss Frizzle’s class is attempting to bake a surprise birthday cake for their eccentric teacher. Miss Frizzle herself is at Gotham NAPA Auto Parts, searching for the elusive part needed to coax the aging bus back to life.
Suddenly, the fragile peace is shattered once again. The same masked man bursts into the bakery, revolver in hand. Shots ring out, sending flour and sugar flying. The bakery owner cries out, and several children scream as they are struck. Five of Miss Frizzle’s students are wounded in the crossfire of a botched robbery.
Down the street, Batman and Robin are investigating a lead related to Paddington’s murder when they hear the distinct sound of gunfire. Without hesitation, Batman slams the Batmobile into gear, and they race towards the source of the chaos. The Joker’s reign of terror continues to escalate.
Soon Batman drives after a van that says ACME Scooter Delivery Co., the van had The Joker inside, Batman soon uses a laser to get inside the van and finds The Joker on the phone with a gun dealer from China
The Batmobile, a sleek, black beast of a machine, roars after a beat-up van emblazoned with the words “ACME Scooter Delivery Co.” Batman’s instincts scream that this is their guy. He knows The Joker is behind the recent wave of violence, and this van is his likely escape route.Without hesitation, Batman activates a laser cutter built into the Batmobile. A precise beam slices through the van’s rear doors, creating an opening just large enough for him to slip through. He drops inside, landing silently on the metal floor.
There, amidst stacks of empty scooter boxes, is The Joker. His face is painted in his signature grotesque grin, his green hair a wild mess. He’s on the phone, his voice a manic cackle, a revolver resting casually in his lap.
“…yes, yes, I need more bang for my buck! These little toys are just delightful appetizers, but I need something with a real kick! Can you get it here by tomorrow? Good. Good. And make sure it’s… unforgettable.” The Joker hangs up, his eyes glinting with madness. He turns, spots Batman, and his grin widens. “Well, Batsy! Fancy meeting you here! Looks like I’m about to have some fun!”
Batman and The Joker soon duel, The Joker soon kicks Batman out of the van and drives off, later that day, The Joker uses Talking Care Bears plushes and brings them to life to rob the 1st National Bank of Gotham
The Joker throws back his head and lets out a chilling laugh. He lunges at Batman, a flurry of manic energy. Batman, ever vigilant, anticipates the attack and meets it with a swift counter. They engage in a brutal, close-quarters duel within the cramped confines of the van. The Joker fights with a chaotic, unpredictable style, relying on cheap tricks and sheer madness. Batman, with his disciplined training and superior strength, holds his own, but the Joker is slippery and relentless.
Suddenly, The Joker lands a lucky kick, sending Batman sprawling out of the back of the van and onto the street. The van screeches away, leaving Batman in the dust. He watches it disappear, frustration burning in his eyes. He knows The Joker is planning something big, and he needs to stop him before it’s too late.
Later that day, chaos erupts at the 1st National Bank of Gotham. The Joker’s twisted plan is revealed: He’s somehow managed to bring a horde of Talking Care Bears plushes to life! The once-cuddly creatures, now animated with a sinister purpose, are wreaking havoc, robbing the bank under The Joker’s gleeful direction. The scene is both terrifying and absurd, a perfect reflection of The Joker’s warped sense of humor.
The Joker then uses Care Bears Sing A Long Friends and brings them to life to rob the local Giant Foods, the bears sing “Row Your Boat”, “If Your Happy” and “Wheels on the Bus” while shoplifting and attacking customers
The scene at the 1st National Bank is pure pandemonium, but The Joker’s depravity doesn’t stop there. Word spreads quickly that he’s now targeting the local Giant Foods supermarket.
Sure enough, shoppers are soon confronted with an even more bizarre spectacle: The Joker has unleashed another wave of animated plush toys, this time the “Care Bears Sing A Long Friends.” These once-innocent bears are now forced to participate in a twisted performance of synchronized crime.
As shoppers scream and flee, the Care Bears, their stitched smiles now menacing, sing children’s songs with a chilling dissonance. “Row, row, row your boat, gently down the aisle…” they chant while stuffing shopping carts with stolen goods. “If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands!” they sing, before swatting at customers with their plush paws. And as they make their escape, they break into a chorus of “The Wheels on the Bus,” the lyrics warped to fit their criminal activity. “The shoppers on the bus scream and shout, scream and shout, scream and shout! The shoppers on the bus scream and shout, all through the town!”
The Joker, perched atop a mountain of stolen groceries, conducts his bizarre orchestra of chaos, his laughter echoing through the supermarket. This is Gotham at its breaking point, pushed to the edge of sanity by the Clown Prince of Crime.
Soon The Joker brings a giant Rapuzel Barbie to life to set fire to The Walkerville Elementary School 5 miles away
The Joker’s reign of terror knows no bounds. Just as Gotham begins to grapple with the bizarre sight of singing, shoplifting Care Bears, news arrives of an even more disturbing act: The Joker has animated a giant Rapunzel Barbie doll and sent it to set fire to Walkerville Elementary School, five miles away.
This isn’t just about money or chaos anymore; it’s a direct assault on the city’s future, a deliberate attempt to destroy the innocence of Gotham’s children. The giant Barbie, its plastic hair flowing behind it like a fiery banner, lumbers towards the school, its painted smile a grotesque mockery of joy. It carries a makeshift torch, ready to ignite the building and everything inside.
The situation is critical. Batman and Robin must stop The Joker before he plunges Gotham into complete anarchy and destroys its most vulnerable citizens. The clock is ticking, and the fate of Walkerville Elementary hangs in the balance.
Batman and Robin soon arrive at the bank, the bank CEO was being taking in a Ambulance to the Gotham Medical Center after he had a heart attack, several Talking Care Bears have been killed by the cops
The Batmobile screeches to a halt outside the 1st National Bank of Gotham. The scene is a chaotic mess of flashing police lights, overturned vehicles, and terrified civilians. The aftermath of The Joker’s Care Bear heist is grim.
Batman and Robin leap from the Batmobile, their faces grim. They survey the scene: Several of the animated Care Bears lie deactivated, their plush bodies riddled with bullet holes. The Gotham City Police Department has managed to neutralize the threat, but the damage is done.
An ambulance speeds away, carrying the bank’s CEO. He suffered a heart attack during the robbery and is being rushed to Gotham Medical Center. The Joker’s madness has directly impacted the lives of innocent people, pushing them to the brink.
“This is escalating quickly, Robin,” Batman says, his voice a low growl. “The Joker’s becoming more reckless, more unhinged. We need to stop him, and we need to stop him now.” They know the clock is ticking, and The Joker’s next act of terror is already in motion.
At the school, the school is set on fire, everyone gets out but the Barbie dies after a explosion at the AC unit
As Batman and Robin raced towards Walkerville Elementary, smoke billowed into the sky, confirming their worst fears. The school was ablaze, flames licking at the windows and blackening the brick facade.
Thankfully, the teachers and staff had managed to evacuate all the students and personnel before the fire spread too far. The scene was one of chaos and relief, parents rushing to embrace their children, firefighters battling the blaze.
The giant Rapunzel Barbie doll, however, was not so fortunate. It stood engulfed in flames near the school’s AC unit. Suddenly, a massive explosion rocked the building as the AC unit detonated. The Barbie doll, its plastic body melted and disfigured, was obliterated in the blast.
The Joker’s plan had been thwarted, but the cost was high. The school was severely damaged, and the trauma inflicted on the students and community would linger for a long time. The Joker had to be stopped, once and for all.
What was the gun dealer from China selling to The Joker?
As the firefighters battled the blaze at Walkerville Elementary, Batman and Robin began piecing together The Joker’s plan. The animated toys were a distraction, a way to sow chaos and spread fear while he prepared for something even bigger. The key to understanding his next move lay in The Joker’s phone call with the gun dealer from China.
What was he buying? Whatever it was, it had to be something that could amplify his madness and cause even more widespread destruction. Knowing The Joker, it wouldn’t be a conventional weapon. It would be something theatrical, something designed to shock and terrify. Perhaps a chemical weapon, a mind-control device, or some other twisted invention.
The thought of what The Joker could unleash on Gotham sent a chill down Batman’s spine. He knew he had to find that weapon and stop The Joker before it was too late. The fate of the city depended on it.
Batman soon arrives at Giant Foods in Gotham City, they use Bat Hooks to kill the bears
Batman and Robin, haunted by the image of the burning school, arrive at the Giant Foods supermarket. The scene is still chaotic, with shoppers recounting their terrifying experiences. The remaining Care Bears, however, continue their bizarre crime spree, stuffing bags with groceries and toys.
Batman, his face grim, surveys the scene. He knows he can’t risk innocent civilians getting hurt. He needs to neutralize the Care Bears quickly and efficiently.
“Robin,” he says, his voice low and determined, “grappling hooks. Let’s take these things down.”
With practiced precision, Batman and Robin deploy their Bat-Hooks, targeting the Care Bears one by one. The sharp hooks latch onto the plush bodies, and with a swift tug, the animated toys are yanked off their feet and slammed against walls or shelves, deactivating them instantly. The remaining Care Bears, their programming disrupted, collapse in a heap of colorful fur and stuffing.
The supermarket falls silent, the only sound the whirring of the grappling hooks and the relieved sighs of the shoppers. Batman and Robin have stopped the immediate threat, but they know The Joker is still out there, and he’s planning something even more sinister.
EMS arrives, several customers had been severally injured, one was dead from a heart attack, the manager had been beaten as well, he though was going to live
The flashing lights of Gotham EMS vans join the scene at Giant Foods. Paramedics rush inside, attending to the injured shoppers. The aftermath of the Care Bear rampage is grim. Several customers have sustained serious injuries, and the air is thick with the scent of fear and antiseptic.
Tragically, one shopper succumbed to a heart attack during the chaos, adding to the already devastating toll. The store manager, battered and bruised, is being treated as well. He’s shaken but expected to survive.
As the paramedics load the injured into the ambulances, Batman surveys the scene. The Joker’s madness has touched every corner of Gotham, leaving a trail of destruction and despair in its wake. He knows he has to stop him, not just for the city, but for the innocent people whose lives have been shattered by his twisted games. The clock is ticking, and the stakes have never been higher.
Batman soon arrives at the Gotham Cement Factory to take down the Joker
The Batmobile, a dark blur against the grimy Gotham skyline, screeches to a halt outside the Gotham Cement Factory. The air hangs heavy with the smell of dust and decay. Batman, his cape billowing behind him, emerges from the vehicle, followed by Robin. They know this is where The Joker’s twisted plan will culminate. The factory is eerily silent, save for the low hum of machinery. Batman activates his cowl’s infrared vision, scanning the interior for any signs of life. He spots a figure moving in the shadows, a grotesque silhouette that can only be The Joker.
“He’s here, Robin,” Batman whispers. “Stay alert. We don’t know what he’s planning.”
They move silently through the factory, the only sound their footsteps echoing in the cavernous space. The air is thick with tension, the anticipation of a confrontation hanging heavy in the air. They know The Joker is waiting for them, ready to unleash his final act of madness upon Gotham.
Soon Batman finds The Joker in his office watching Barney on tv saying he wish could create his own Barney doll that comes to life to rob when Batman threw a hook at the tv, causing it to explode, the 2 men soon duel
Inside a makeshift office amidst the concrete dust and machinery, Batman finds The Joker. He’s sprawled in a tattered chair, eyes glued to a flickering television screen. The screen shows a saccharine episode of Barney the Dinosaur. The Joker is muttering to himself, a twisted longing in his voice.
“Oh, if only I could create my own Barney doll,” he says, giggling, “a big, purple, huggable bank robber! That would be hilarious!”
Batman, his patience finally snapping, hurls a Batarang grappling hook at the television. The hook slams into the screen, causing it to explode in a shower of sparks and shattered glass.
The Joker leaps to his feet, his face contorted in a mixture of rage and glee. “Batsy! You ruined my program!” he shrieks. “Now you’ll pay!”
The two men lunge at each other, their conflict about to reach its climax. The Joker fights with wild abandon, wielding a crowbar with deadly intent. Batman counters with his precise martial arts skills, dodging and weaving through the Joker’s attacks. The fate of Gotham hangs in the balance, dependent on the outcome of this final, brutal confrontation.
Soon The Joker slips on oil and falls into a cement machine, he becomes cement, police arrive to take him to the Gotham Medical Center prior to his transport to the mental hospital
The duel is fierce and brutal. The Joker, fueled by madness, swings the crowbar wildly, forcing Batman to constantly evade. Suddenly, the Joker slips on a patch of oil spilled near a cement mixing machine. He loses his balance and tumbles backwards, falling headfirst into the churning concrete.
The machine roars, mixing the Joker into the wet cement. His screams are quickly muffled, replaced by the grinding of gears and the churning of the mixture. The scene is horrifying, a grotesque end for the Clown Prince of Crime.
Moments later, sirens fill the air as the Gotham City Police Department arrives. They secure the scene, horrified by what they find. The Joker, now a solid mass of cement, is carefully extracted from the machine. He’s still alive, but barely.
An ambulance rushes The Joker to Gotham Medical Center. Once stabilized, he’ll be transported to Arkham Asylum, Gotham’s infamous mental hospital, where he’ll hopefully be contained for good. The reign of terror is over, but the scars on Gotham will remain.
At the hospital, just as they bring The Joker in, the Gotham M.E. van from 2 miles away was there carting the body of Phoebe, one of Miss Frizzle’s students who had died in surgery from the gunshot wounds, Batman soon arrives with Robin, they were going to speak to the media
The doors of Gotham Medical Center swing open, and the ambulance carrying The Joker is rushed inside. Doctors and nurses swarm around him, their faces grim. Even in his cement-encased state, The Joker’s presence casts a pall over the entire hospital.
At the same time, a Gotham M.E. van pulls up, its arrival a somber counterpoint to the urgency surrounding The Joker. Inside lies the body of Phoebe, one of Miss Frizzle’s students. She succumbed to her gunshot wounds during surgery, another innocent victim of The Joker’s madness. The weight of the tragedy is palpable.
Batman and Robin arrive, their faces etched with weariness and grief. They’ve come to speak to the media, to address the city and offer some semblance of hope amidst the chaos. The scene is a stark reminder of the cost of their war on crime, a constant reminder of the lives lost and the innocence stolen.
What does Batman say to the media?
A bank of microphones and cameras awaits Batman and Robin as they step forward to address the gathered media. The rain has stopped, but the air remains heavy with the scent of smoke and the weight of grief. Batman steps forward, his voice a low, gravelly rumble that commands attention.
“Citizens of Gotham,” he begins, his gaze sweeping over the reporters, “today is a day of mourning. We have lost innocent lives, and our city has been scarred by the madness of The Joker.”
He pauses, his jaw tightening. “But let me be clear: We will not be broken. We will not be cowed by fear. The Joker’s reign of terror is over. He is in custody and will face justice for his heinous crimes.”
“However,” he continues, his voice softening slightly, “justice alone is not enough. We must also remember those we have lost, those whose lives were cut short by this senseless violence. We must honor their memory by working together to build a better, safer Gotham for all.”
He looks directly into the cameras, his eyes filled with a somber determination. “We will rebuild Walkerville Elementary. We will support the families of the victims. And we will never forget the lessons we have learned this day. Gotham will rise again, stronger and more resilient than ever before.”
Robin steps forward, his voice younger but equally resolute. “We can’t let fear win. We have to help each other and make sure something like this never happens again.”
Batman nods in agreement. “Gotham is a city of survivors. We have faced darkness before, and we have always found a way to overcome it. We will do so again. Together.”
He offers a final, solemn nod before turning and disappearing back into the shadows, leaving the reporters to grapple with his words and the weight of the day’s events.
Miss Frizzle arrives, she soon finds out about her students, Batman, Robin and the chief surgen filled her in
The crowd of reporters begins to disperse, their faces reflecting the somber mood. Just then, a familiar yellow bus pulls up to the curb. Miss Frizzle steps out, her usual bright smile replaced with a look of deep concern. She’s heard snippets of the news and rushed to the hospital, desperate for information about her students.Batman and Robin approach her, their expressions grave. The chief surgeon joins them, his face etched with exhaustion. Together, they gently break the news to Miss Frizzle, telling her about the attack at the bakery, Phoebe’s tragic death, and the injuries sustained by the other students.
Miss Frizzle’s face crumples with grief. Tears stream down her cheeks as she listens to the details of the horrific events. The weight of the tragedy is almost unbearable.
Despite her grief, a spark of determination flickers in her eyes. She looks at Batman and Robin, her voice firm despite her tears. “My students are strong,” she says. “They will need help to heal, but they will get through this. And I will be there for them, every step of the way.”
Soon Batman visits Giant Foods, he was going to help repair the store and promised a memorial for those who died
The next day, Batman, still weary but resolute, arrives at the Giant Foods supermarket. The store is a scene of organized chaos, with workers cleaning up debris and repairing the damage caused by the Care Bear rampage.
He approaches the store manager, who’s overseeing the cleanup efforts, his arm in a sling. “I’m here to help,” Batman says, his voice a low rumble. “I want to assist in any way I can to get this store back on its feet.”
He spends the day working alongside the cleanup crew, hauling debris, repairing shelves, and offering words of encouragement to the employees. His presence is a symbol of hope and resilience, a reminder that even in the darkest of times, Gotham will endure.
Before leaving, Batman addresses the store employees, his voice filled with sincerity. “I know that what happened here was a terrible tragedy,” he says. “But I want you to know that you are not alone. The city of Gotham stands with you. And we will never forget those who lost their lives in this senseless act of violence.”
He promises to fund a memorial in the store, a place where customers and employees can pay their respects to the victims and remember their lives. It will be a symbol of hope and healing, a reminder that even in the face of darkness, the light of compassion and remembrance will always shine through.
The toy store would be torn down because of this, kids in the city were distraught over Paddington’s death
As Gotham slowly began to heal, the Gotham Toy Store, the site of Paddington Bear’s tragic death, was deemed irreparable. The building was scheduled for demolition, a physical representation of the city’s attempt to erase the horrific memory. The news of Paddington’s death spread like wildfire, and the children of Gotham were particularly distraught. The friendly bear, a symbol of kindness and innocence, had been taken from them in the most brutal way imaginable. Many children left teddy bears and marmalade sandwiches at the site of the former toy store, creating an impromptu memorial to Paddington.
Does Batman ever find out who the gun dealer from China was?
The destruction of the Gotham Toy Store and the outpouring of grief for Paddington only strengthened Batman’s resolve to bring all those responsible for the recent tragedies to justice. While The Joker was now incapacitated, the source of his weapons and resources remained a loose end.
Batman, with the help of Robin and Oracle, launched a full investigation into The Joker’s network, tracing his contacts and financial transactions. They meticulously followed the digital breadcrumbs, navigating the dark corners of the internet and the shadowy underworld of Gotham.
Eventually, they uncovered the identity of the gun dealer from China: a notorious arms trafficker known only as “The Serpent.” He was a master of disguise and deception, operating from a hidden base in Hong Kong.
Batman, knowing that bringing The Serpent to justice would require a delicate and strategic approach, contacted his allies in the international law enforcement community. Together, they orchestrated a sting operation that ultimately led to The Serpent’s capture and the dismantling of his illegal arms network. With The Serpent behind bars, Batman could finally close the book on The Joker’s reign of terror, knowing that he had brought all those responsible to justice.
What happens to Miss Frizzle and her students?
The ordeal left deep scars on Miss Frizzle and her students, but it also forged an unbreakable bond between them. Miss Frizzle, with her unwavering optimism and eccentric teaching style, became a pillar of strength for her class. She organized group therapy sessions, field trips to calming natural settings, and creative art projects to help her students process their trauma and express their emotions.
The class rallied around each other, offering support and understanding. They became a close-knit family, sharing their fears and anxieties, and celebrating their triumphs and milestones. They honored Phoebe’s memory by creating a beautiful memorial garden at Walkerville Elementary, filled with her favorite flowers and plants.
Walkerville Elementary was eventually rebuilt, stronger and more secure than before. Miss Frizzle’s class returned to their studies, determined to learn and grow, and to make a positive impact on the world.
The Joker was booked into the mental hospital, he was in his cell while Sisters episode “One to Grow On” played on the tv in his cell as he planned his next escape
The Joker, now a cement-encased statue with a faint pulse, was wheeled into his cell at Arkham Asylum. The sterile, padded walls offered little comfort, and the ever-present hum of the institution did little to soothe his fractured mind. A small, heavily reinforced television was mounted on the wall, playing an episode of “Sisters,” specifically the “One to Grow On” episode, likely chosen by the staff for its message of family and responsibility, a cruel irony given the Joker’s actions.
But even in his seemingly immobile state, the Joker’s mind was a whirlwind of chaotic thoughts. His eyes, the only visible part of his body, darted back and forth, taking in every detail of his surroundings. A slow, insidious grin spread across his face, barely visible beneath the hardened concrete. He wasn’t defeated, not by a long shot. He was merely biding his time, meticulously planning his next escape, his next act of madness. The cement might have contained his body, but it couldn’t contain his mind. Gotham was far from safe.
